See Your Donations at Work

The Skagit Fairgrounds Foundation was established in April of 2024. Each project we commit to has been agreed upon by the board members of the Skagit County Fairgrounds Foundation and is believed to benefit multiple groups of people who use the Fairgrounds year-round. Anyone who uses the Fairgrounds is welcome to submit a request for donation such as Barn Superintendents, Exhibitors, and events coordinators.

Since our fundraising efforts have just begun, our list of completed projects is small. However, we have big dreams for the future and have already put plans in place to show the community what the Foundation can do!

Projects Completed

  • Committed to donate $2,000 to the 2024 Skagit County Fair. This money will be used to raise the Fair Premium Pool, which is the prize money paid out to exhibitors at the Fair, by 14% compared to 2023.
  • Help fund the remaining cost of fixing the cement floor of the Rabbit/Cavi/Cat building.
  • Helped fund the paving of the Goat Barn.
  • The Foundation via volunteer sweat equity, as well as funds for hard costs is maintaining and creating lots of new life in our garden beds. A lot of the vibrant colors you may see around the grounds and any leveling up in our plant game can be attributed to their work.
  • Help fund brand new cages for the small animal barn.
  • The Foundation is continually looking for ways to contribute to enhance year-round improvements to the Fairgrounds, obviously the more fundraising that occurs, the more opportunities that abound to enhance the grounds.

Future Projects

  • Fund maintenance projects around the Fairgrounds to fix the buildings that are over 50 years old.

Help us complete more projects and make the Fairgrounds flourish for years to come!
